I absolutely agree with you
The capability for hardware decoding is very important especially for older computer.
A user with intel gpu computer should never use mplayer
because mplayer doesn't support vaapi.

the reason is the used javascript engine of seamonkey.
The bug is known and reported.
I'm afraid we have to wait for a bugfix or js engine update.

Osmo has been exhibiting this behaviour in several Pups for a long time now, at least 3 years. On my old Acer Aspire One netbook I have ScPup 32 bit, and some notes on how to fix the crashing when adding/manipulating contacts in Osmo. here the reason of missing icons

Skanlite is a Qt application and does not care about gtk themes.
Independent what gtk icon theme is defined as default, Skanlite will ignore this.
To solve this problem you can use a config tool like qt5ct to define the themes for qt applications too.

I should never do anything on the machine when I am tired/frustrated/whatever. After the segmentation fault message I found and deleted the seamonkey directory. Trying to reinstall gives the message that it is already installed ... Mercedes350se yes of course, this package manager message is absolu...
