wec-launch is just a helper to launch any webkit-based browser or apps as root instead of running as other user. Because webkit-based browser or apps prohibits to run on root account

It uses xfwm4 as window compositor (builtin to xfce desktop environment). but you can also use other window compositor if you want.

Yes you can try Wayland. You need to find a suitable DE with wayland support. XFCE wayland support was currently work in progress

i fixed it by installing it through the puppy package manager (interface) ... I'll try to continue now. I uninstalled flatpak there, and also the libostree, and had to manually reinstall the libostree, before installing flatpak because i also got a error there... , and then the installation worked ...
