Zoom sfs not working for me.

Running EasyOS Dunfell 4.3.4 I downloaded the zoom sfs using sfsget, followed instructions to install and rebooted. On reboot it did not run. This is the terminal output:

I notice at the bottom of your log, it says "zoom started" -- what happened after that?

Curious about one thing, try this:

...that should run it as the root user.

I installed zoom.sfs from sfs app. As a result, I had the same problem with launching Zoom from the main menu, like the @TerryH.

In the SFS, /opt/zoom/cef/chrome-sandbox is 0775, which is OK for me.
I checked mikewalsh's portable-Zoom, chrome-sandbox also 0775, but then he runs Zoom as the root user, with "--no-sandbox".

Actually, Mike might be the guy to ask about this, he has done a lot of work finding out things about Zoom. @mikewalsh

Yes, I also get those same error messages about pulseaudio, but audio still works.
Actually, pulseaudio is setup to work with non-root apps, it is just that Zoom is checking the wrong things -- there is no actual daemon visible to Zoom, just a pulseaudio daemon socket.

I found out out to determine the FPS and resolution of the video recorded by the webcam:

...by using 'ffprobe'.

And, found the video was only 640x360 at 25 FPS.

I went back into Zoom, and discovered that there is "HD" checkbox.
Yes! now get 1280x720 at 25 FPS.

So, it is really a 720p webcam, not a 1440p!
720p is ok for vlogging and online meetings.

Zoom working following doing this change. I have only checked using the test function in the setup for zoom, video, sound and Microphone are functioning.

This is excellent, just helping to make EasyOS more complete. Thank you.

That's great, I have fixed the SFS, and appended a message to the blog post:

Zoom defaults to saving a recording at /home/zoom
You can change to /files/media/video, and it will be remembered, but I will see if can make that the default. Zoom uses Qt5, and I think there is a config file that can set the default open/save path.
