Much better if this latest revision of xorg-autoconf will be used for testing. i've been testing it on few different computers (not just vmware) and i'm really liking it. it actually fixes quite big issues on my desktop running nouveau. I am going to use it in fossapup although i've removed the radeon exa acceleration line as causes issues for me with picom.
thanks!

thanks for doing this thinkpadfreak.thinkpadfreak wrote: Thu Aug 06, 2020 7:24 am Hello.
I am preparing Japanese translation for fossapup64, and have found what I think is a mistake in the conky-gtk script:

hi Grey ,Grey wrote: Tue Aug 04, 2020 10:00 pm I built sfs file here for fossa. With several dozen emulators. Checked on a clean system.
Attention! sfs contains BIOS files fot PSX and PS2 and if you are afraid of any laws there, then I do not know ...
fossapup64 viewtopic.php?f=40&t=88
Removing bios is not a problem. But I think maybe to make a bunch of pets for each emulator separately? And make a separate shell for launch. I was here at my leisure digging into the Gtkdialog and remaking your quickpet into a Zapuskalka, which means "funny launcher" in Russian and I use it to quickly launch programs for sound and graphics making. Maybe based on it I will make a downloader and launcher for emulators. I just need to figure out how to upload files to nluug or something and then use script /usr/local/quickpet/downloader2 to download from nluug.666philb wrote: Thu Aug 06, 2020 3:09 pm hi Grey ,
if you remove the bios files from the .sfs i can add this to quickpet. Maybe create a small app to go in the .sfs that can down load and install the bios's.

Okay, I'll try it in my spare time. Still need to add more emulators666philb wrote: Thu Aug 06, 2020 7:40 pm @Grey i reckon keep them all in the .sfs and then have a launcher (based on quickpet) . the tabs could be spectrum c64 arcade amiga etc, a tab for each type.... and on the tabs.... a launcher, a bios installer a link to roms and some info for each emulator

hi lyouzlyouz wrote: Sat Aug 08, 2020 8:27 am Dear 666philb,
Thanks for your effort for Fossapup.
Could you suggest to me an input method framework for Chinese in Fossapup64?
I have tried to use PPM2.1.2 to install scim, ibus, fcitx, and fcitx5, however, all of them do not work with Fossapup64.
Among them, ibus almost work but cannot show window for select word, I can only input English.

Any help will be appreciated.

Change

from

to
rxvt -e /bin/sh "%c"
(actually no quotations are required as %c is an alias for ./geany_run_script.sh)

hi @Clarity ,Clarity wrote: Sat Aug 08, 2020 8:49 pm I understand the efforts to getting this PUP to a level of stability and currency. I applaud all the work going into this by everyone.
On the language issue, an important one, does the current WOOFCE builds have a formal method published? OR does the current PUPs use the same strategy for language that @BarryK use in his builds? If so, hopefully the language experts can make available the translations in the same way Barry's seems to be approaching this.
I know how busy you are and maybe this requires others on the forum, of knowledge, to offer direction.
This ability for add'l language expands the number of world-wide developers and users to contribute to the maturity of Puppy Linux. Everyone benefits! (YES, I know this is obvious)
