This information only appears in 2 of the boots which failed to have sound working (boot 2 and boot 6), I would have thought that it should have been included in boot 3 which also failed.mistfire wrote: Sat Sep 19, 2020 6:05 am @TerryH

@rockedge oops, I mistakenly reported this post, meaning to reply to it. My excuse, I'm using a tablet and don't have my glasses on. Thinking back, I may have done this yesterday on another thread, which a post I made that didn't appear.mistfire wrote: Wed Sep 23, 2020 11:16 am @TerryH
Did you plug/unplug your HDMI device upon boot/shutdown TazPuppy?
New Laptop - ASUS ZenBook Ryzen 7 5800H Vega 7 iGPU / 16 GB RAM
Hi, I haven't had much time to test it this past week, but I downloaded the last release RC11, and instead of creating an USB, I just opened the ISO, and copied the files over to my installation folder (vmlinuz, puppy_tazpup_5.0.sfs and zdrv_tazpup_5.0.sfs, only, since those were the ones originally there).

Sure, no problem. You can make your own project either using remaster or use the tazpuppy build kit
Take note, keep an eye on slitaz cooker and slitaz community activity.

Did you check on the task manager which program has the highest usage? Try also swapping the kernel and zdrv modules from other puppies. Don't forget to rename the zdrv modules to zdrv_tazpup_5.0.sfs

when can we expect MICRO TAZPUP XFCE 32 BIT?
thanks
TazPuppy was always LXDE by default. But still you can install xfce4 or build using the TazPuppy Builder (available at the first post of this thread).
There is also biggest changes to be happen on SliTaz. I'm monitoring the situation on their forum before releasing a new version again (if I have spare time)
@ljljcould you post a hardinfo or a sysinfo report of your PC to see what the Taz is running on giving the problem?

@ljlj I see your requests for a 32bit flavor to match your need. Would this help in the meantime?
Hope this is helpful to get you going.
@mistfire had answered you the first time you asked this question.

is this projekt dead?why?tazpup is much better than quickpup!!!
ljlj wrote: Fri Sep 10, 2021 11:08 amis this projekt dead?why?tazpup is much better than quickpup!!!
Nope this project is not dead. Rather its in dormant state because of the slow progress of SliTaz project. The problem now SliTaz was their packages were heavily outdated especially their Xorg-server, its lack of glamour acceleration in order to deal with newer intel videocards and also their GLIBC was outdated too. I frequent monitor the situation on SliTaz community. I hope they will upgrade these very essential packages. If they releasing a new updated package on their rolling release. I will release the new TazPuppy too.
I prefer using slitaz glibc. because it allows tazpup to setup slitaz cooker, an automated slitaz compiling tool. Also it makes slitaz builder easier to maintain
TazPuppy 5.0 RC12 released
Changes:
* Built from tazpuppy builder online mode.
* More upstream to slitaz than previous one.
* New initrd iteration. It ask save session setup on boot instead of shutdown process.
* Can now boot from iso using GRUB.
* LUKS save file encryption (old cryptoloop was dropped in favor of LUKS).
* Improved package management.
* Improved tazcook-sfs utilities.
* Improved sanderdog
* Tazpkg package manager will only update main sfs builtin packages and user installed packages but still can see the installed packages from sfs modules as dependencies (if sfs modules was built using tazcook-sfs).
* Improved core scripts.

If firefox and chromium was compiled against glibc 2.14 it will work.
smplayer full screen maybe depend on video card support.
Theoretically pulseaudio might work.
UPDATE: pulseaudio works by installing it from tazpkg
May I ask, where did you get firefox and chromium?

pulelsaudio can not work

Slitaz has very limited kernel modules by default
TazPuppy has complete set of kernel modules which the kernel version was fairly recent.
Also the latest TazPuppy includes the complete set of xorg-drivers, mesa, and llvm which makes the main sfs bigger.
If you have a good internet connection. You can build a smaller version of TazPuppy by using the build kit tools which I provided which was very easy to use.
Download the tazpuppy build kit. Link is on the first page of this page.
Boot puppy.
Load devx sfs modules if possible.
Get the puppy iso cd.
Extract the build kit
Edit essential-packages.txt (the list of packages that you want to be included on TazPuppy)
Edit post-install-remove.txt (for the extra packages to be removed after installing the essential packages)
Run make-tazpup.sh and follow instructions.
