EDIT:
BookwormPup64 10.0.6 (x86_64)
In Pmount, choosing "Mount partition at boot", is not working. Is this a known issue?

It is working now.......Sorry guys.
Thanks.

About Jafadmins script:
1) Underscore is not a weird character i.e
you could use Mike_Walsh - if you feel like it
2) The script does NOT use UUID to identify a Disk/Partition.
3) The script is a workaround/a crutch for challenged Puppies.
Fatdog has the Right-Click ability to
mount by-device,by-label,by-UUID.
4) If you succeeded in implementing Jafadmins workaround -
the partitions on the disk you specified should mount on
boot.
However - I have a notion that the script did not work for you.
In that case you should make sure - that you have removed
the debris from your working savefile/-folder - or create a
new from an earlier backup.
---
End of reminder/digression.

IMHO:Solving the BIos-problem is the main thing for now.

I was looking at the udev rules. When I read this was "medium" difficulty, I nearly fell off my chair.

For future reference, it helps to give details... ahead of time.

example: I booted Bookworm from my thumb drive with no external drives inserted in the hub, and the hub power was turned off. I'm trying to use pmount to mount sda1 at boot, but it doesn't seem to work.

BookwormPup64_10.0.6
How do I get the choice of "RAM only" mode on the boot stick so that everything is copied to RAM, but I can still save my session in a folder on the boot stick, or to another location, if desired? Thanks.

2 ways:
1. duplicate your boot stanza in grub.cfg, except add ram to the pfix= comma delineated string
viewtopic.php?t=5484
2. create a dummy bookworm savefolder alongside the exisiting one, named the same as the existing except with a differeing suffix and you will get a menu at boot time that gives you a choice of saves or no save (ram)

as this has nothing to do with bug reports, it would be helpful to others if it were a topic of it's own in the user section

@Governor

I recently ran across this. Its a way for you to have your cake and eat it too; without spending ANY money. As I recall, you already have all the components to turn this on.

Use your modem-router, move one (or more) of your USBs to it, tell the router how to share, and everyone (or TVs) on your LAN can add/extract/backup information as you see fit.

Hope this helps you in your home's network.

Enjoy
