Re: Trouble installing friendly-fossa64-rc3

loldigox Good job on documenting your problem. can't open 'modules.dep': No such file or directory I've checked the ISO and modules.dep is there. I've tested rc3 on half dozen computers (all old) but none with touch screens which seems related. I'm guessing you booted from a USB flash drive to do ...

Re: Helping new users-Single Click Or Double Click

@rockedge

Ok, try this, .doc in first post. If you open in LO Writer, you can right click an image, then choose Copy, then paste somewhere. You can also right click and choose Save, then save the image out to a file. Let me know if you want the other PDF's as .doc.

@rockedge

This could apply:
Murphy's law "Nature always sides with a hidden flaw"

Rats

These are being created with Libreoffice Writer in .doc format. I can upload that which should be easier to manipulate both the text and images. Let me know what you think.

Suggest they're installing an MBR.

How about

@PAnita

Welcome to Puppy. We'll need to know what version of Puppy you are using and a little about your hardware. Take a look at this post viewtopic.php?t=218 . The program Anydesk should do what you want and it will run in both LInux and MS Windows.

Setup a fileserver/NAS or file share for Android phone connection

This was originally written on how to setup a file server, but would also apply to just creating a file share to access with an Android device. Puppy Slacko 6.3 is used in the example, but the same tools and method should work for any of the new 64 bit Puppies. Slacko 6.3 would be better on older ...

You can also setup a samba file share on your pc and access it with an Android file manager like Total Commander or ES File Explorer over wifi. Lets you do both file transfers and media streaming, I use this method to transfer photos or access media content. . Only drawback is the Android is always ...
