Re: myVPN (a simple VPN Client app)

Regarding the 'blinking icon' question posed by joet12345 Refer to page page 3 and page 6&7 of the manual. When using a VPN it is important that you can rely on its stability ie there is nothing worse than using the system thinking that the VPN is active when it is not. The blinking icon is a vi...

Re: chromium_88.0.4324.190.sfs (RUNS-AS-SPOT) both 32-bit and 64-bit

Thanks again peebee. Works as usual on my bionic64

However, I did notice that the folders under /usr were
bin
lib
share

...in previous releases from you these were
bin
lib64
share

I just renamed the folder lib to lib64 and all ran as usual.

Re: YaPI (yet another Puppy Installer) install any Puppy iso

Thanks for this app bigpup. I decided to give it a try, but unfortunately I had some problems - likely my fault - but I'd like to understand where I went wrong, and also a suggestion. I am running bionic64 USB frugal on an old DELL latitude laptop. I use 3 partitions on my 64G USB stick: 1. the boot...

Re: How to set default Conky color?

I also run bionic64 frugal on USB and had absolutely heaps of trouble trying to achieve a fully transparent conky background. It nearly drove me crazy, but I eventually came up with something which works fine for me. I have attached a screenshot of my conky display and my conky config. The config fi...

Hi - I too am using bionicpup64 for a long time and always run as root. You should be able to send files to trash as part of the builtin functionality. Right click on a file and you should see "Trash" appear as one of the options.

Re: Microsoft "Teams"

You have not outlined your hardware or OS details. You will need to explain which version of puppy you are using, and whether or not you have a frugal install, full install or some hybrid which you may have customized yourself. However - that aside, you do have a couple of options: Option-1: microso...

Re: How to run latest Zoom in Bionic64? - (SOLVED)

Maybe this will help. It is a static version of the latest stable 1.8.5. You will also find a test.pls which I randomly downloaded from the web. Some entries work, some don't.

Re: How to run latest Zoom in Bionic64?

Thanks peebee - unfortunately that did not make any difference.

Interestingly I also found this appimage of the current version (downloaded from here) - https://appimage.github.io/Zoom/ and it also produces the same 'greyed' out dialog boxes.

I'm stumped on this one ..but sure would like to know!

myVPN (a simple VPN Client app)

For some time I had been looking for a simple VPN implementation I could use. Inspired by OscarTalks and his VPN OnOff a...
