@peebee - sadly, no difference - see pic below (I do enable drm & wait over 30sec, which works in 240420 & earlier): video-error.jpg I can't think of anything changed in Woof-CE to cause - https://github.com/puppylinux-woof-CE/woof-CE/commits/testing/ and there haven't been many Slackware-1...

OK - going to follow the advice at: https://gcc.gnu.org/gcc-14/porting_to.html and create a gcc wrapper script /usr/bin/gcc: #!/bin/sh exec /usr/bin/gcc-14.1.0 -fpermissive "$@" This "reverts" GCC-14 to GCC-13 behaviour so fixes the problem for now..... but should allow kernel-6....

I've been using 6.9 for a few days and can't say I've noticed any great difference....

It is not possible to build a non-usrmerge Pup using the usrmerge components from one of the usrmerge distros..... so we either have to go usrmerge or stop building Pups from those distros (i.e. Debian and Ubuntu in particular).
