I managed to create a .pet package with DeaDBeeF v.1.9.5 ... the program is installed in the menu: Multimedia. The folder with the program files is in the path:

/opt/deadbeef
A deadbeef.desktop file is also created with an icon + an additional deadbeef launch file so that you can run the program from the terminal in the path:

/usr/bin/
I checked the correctness of work and installation in EasyOS-v5.4.3

EasyOS is not a good Linux OS to test software for Puppy Linux.
Test with one of the Puppy versions listed in the Mainline Puppy Linux Distros
EasyOS is not a Puppy Linux operating system.
That is why EasyOS has it's own section in this forum.
