This topic assumes you are using one of the recommended distros or remasters.

Laptop touchpads can be problematic and downright annoying. Puppy has some built in controls that can help.
-click Menu>Setup>Mouse/Keyboard Wizard>Touchpad

For those who are continually hitting the touchpad while typing, try adjusting the Palm settings.
Start with values of Width = 10, Pressure = 100. The lower you go the more sensitive the pad is to random strikes. If you adjust to low it can disable normal use, so change slowly and test.
