Attached a pet that has both driver and firmware.

Compiled from sources at github --> https://github.com/kelebek333/rtl8188fu

Those sources say for kernel 4.15 to 5.7 so it is possible it may not work as xenial has kernel 4.9
If this driver does not work you will have to switch to a newer kernel that is a minimum 4.15

Let us know if it works please. If it does not work I will remove the PET

The Bionicpup64 pet is built for kernel 4.19.23 and will not work with the kernel 4.9.58

If you change the kernel in Xenialpup64 to the Bionicpup64 kernel 4.19.23 the Bionicpup64 pet should work in Xenialpup64. But only if you change the kernel.

I will look at the sources you supplied in the other post .

EDIT--> The sources you supplied are incorrect for the device.
The way forward to using your device in Xenialpup64 would be to install the kernel from Bionicpup64 into Xenialpup64 and then use the same pet file you have for Bionicpup64.
The kernel in Xenialpup64 is version 4.9.58 and is too old for the driver, the driver needs at least kernel version 4.15. That is why I recommend switching the kernel in Xenialpup64 to the version 4.19.23 from Bionicpup64.
By changing the kernel to the Bionicpup64 kernel 4.19.23 will allow you to use the bionic pet for your device. You would also need the firmware file rtl8188fufw.bin for the device. There was a copy of the firmware file in the pet file I posted. There should also be a copy of that file in your Bionicpup64 /lib/firmware/rtlwifi/ directory.
