I tried to log in to the forum last night about 8 pm my time and got this:
General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]User 'puppylin_ux_forum' has exceeded the 'max_user_connections' resource (current value: 30) [1226]
An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists.
I tried several times, with the same result. This morning it's back to normal.
Yesterday I got something similar.
I completely shutdown the browser and restarted it.
No error message and was able to do normal login to the forum.

Last night I came to the forum and got a message that it was down due to resources being used up. Should I stop posting pics and gifs ? Id hate to be causing problems here.
It was an error caused by the MySQL server having too many simultaneous attempted connections. This most likely was cause by Bots or hack attempts to flood the database.
These were defeated and the error routine worked as intended. All is well and will continued to be monitored.
Another case would be it just was too many Puppy fans doing searches using the built in search system at the same moment which can also cause this. Same result the connection settings triggered an error protecting the database.
