New computer, small "s" is wrong! Why?

So I just got a new computer and windows seems to be wreck and not working, but hey I got Puppy Linux, so what do I care.

Anyways I got puppy up and working fine from a USB, but all small "s" letters (not big) on the main window and apps menu looks weird and not like an 's'.

See the picture attached.

So why is this and what can I do to fix it?

Can you see the picture I added? I can't see it either maybe it's because I took some stuff off my puppy? But I can see the jpg pic fine on my computer.

But the symbol that has replaced small 's' is like an equal sign (=), but the lover line in the symbol slants downwards at the end.

I can't see a picture at all just looks like flat curtains patterns ?
Use a screenshot and open it in mtpaint.
Change it to indexed and scale canvass to 600 works for me . Don't forget to give it a new name then upload again.

What do you see when you choose Desktop->Florence virtual keyboard and hit "s" ?

On keyboard use Setup->Keyboad to find what keyboard is set and maybe try changing it to another ,but write down the one you are on now just in case. You may have to fiddle with location.

You will find the "s" is probably another key . If I use british keyboard things get moved around.
