Not locked down, but extensions not saving in Firefox

morning all,

installed Easy Dunfell on HDD on an old Sony Vaio and restarted in Normal (remove lockdown).
But Firefox is (freezing and) not retaining installed extension, namely Bitwarden.
This makes me hesitant to install anything else, in case it is lost in the next freeze, reboot, shut-down.
Have looked at this:
https://bkhome.org/news/202008/save-ses ... n-ram.html
But not seeing any save button on my desktop.

What am I missing?

thanks,

EasyDD was run from a USB? Presumably with EasyOs on it?
It should have created two partitions on the HD, a fat32 and an ext4

the save icon you are missing is normal for a normal boot. It appears for optional saves when running in ram. Normal boot saves automatically without user input.

Are any other changes getting saved, or is your problem just with firefox extensions?

I only intended the copy session to ram and disable drives for when you boot off a usb stick.
In that mode, the internal drives are disabled.

Sorry for not responding sooner!
Understood, thank you.
I was getting mixed up with the save to USB option available when EasyOS loaded into RAM, as you explained.
Not sure what I did differently next time but in Normal unlocked mode (with access to drive), Firefox now saving extensions fine.
Might just be a case of reboot curing all, as in 99.99% of problems :)

Thanks Barry,

extensions saving in normal mode just fine.
No doubt just a user error or general incomprehension.
