This is Firefox 112.0.sfs For BionicPup64 8.0 and fossapup64 version 9.5
It works Well for me, but it is always best to do a Puppy back-up before adding new software!

Latest iterations of firefox seem to run a tad heavy on my old box.Love the browser but i cannot use it for any length of time as there are lock up issues.
Seamonkey is my preferred weapon of choice.
Wondering what the oldest version of firefox is viable for fossapup 9.5.
Even with a modern, powerful, up-to-date rig running Fossapup64, I'm finding that any FF from around 98 onwards freezes solid.....the only way to exit is to "Kill" it.
I've currently removed FF from its long-term residency as a 'secondary' back-up browser; I'm finding that Chrome. Brave, Slimjet & Seamonkey between them fulfil MY needs. Come on, Mozilla.....pull your finger out, and "get with the program"!

i was actually finding version 78esr was perfectly fine with modern websites.I cannot find a portable version of v78esr or i would use that as a back up.
Seamonkey is the most friendly browser so far.
@xenial :-
Yep; I thought I'd got one squirrelled away somewhere. There's a 'portable' version of FF78esr here, on my Google Drive:-

Navigate through, and snag the one you want. It's an earlier build, I'm afraid; doesn't have the MenuAdd/Remove scripts, and it's laid out differently. Unlike my more recent versions, most stuff is inside the firefox32 or firefox64 directory.....the way it used to be before I tidied things up.
Still works though! (EDIT:- You might find an extraneous "profile" sym-link inside the main directory. Just remove it before firing-it up for the first time.)
