Hi.

Just to let you know...

I've compiled Qtractor 0.9.15 in two different versions for BionicPup32.
One version comes with VST3 enabled.
There's .deb and .pet pakcages.

Link: viewtopic.php?f=88&t=114

Edit:

I've uploaded also QJackCtl 0.5.5 compiled for BionicPup32.

Probably should have mentioned this a bit earlier. Since about the +20 version my laptop won't start X on boot. Currently using version +23, I have had to add i915.modeset=0 to the boot stanza to get it to boot successfully. The laptop previously booted without issue. This is just a report for information only, not expecting any action.

The +22 delta is still available at sourceforge https://sourceforge.net/projects/zestyp ... c/updates/. You can recreate the +22.iso, if you have or also download the base iso.

Edit: I missed that the +22 iso is also still on sourceforge.

Thank you both for the replies. I really would prefer doing the frugal installs, but have not had any luck. that is why I've been placing the iso's on a
"Pentoy" multi boot flash card. However, v22 was the last v that would fully boot. Please note that I've been "playing" with Puppies for several years, and I sincerely feel BionicPup32 is the best 32b Puppy available.

Has anyone had any luck with browsers for older non sse2 cpu's? My PIII computer's work great with bionicpup32 for sending email (Sylfeed) and doing spread sheets etc. but if I could get cups to work with a browser I could print and maybe visit a few web sites. Any help would be appreciated.
My two PIV's both work great with the 22 delta using Palemoon and Thunderbird. I just want to thank PeeBee and everyone who helped with this great operating system.

Thanks
Bird Dog

using this on my dell 32bit laptop, works the best of all OS I tried. Also impressed how fast light browser is, and youtube plays well.

I just wanted to give an update on my browser problem with my PIII computer. After trying some older browsers in the puppy tahr category of PPM and having them crash or not start I went back to Slimboat which was recommended by someone, that hadn't crashed but never installed to the applications chooser so couldn't be selected to start browser based programs like cups for printing. In the applications chooser I remembered seeing files in the selections and new I could put in my own so I used Pfind (great program, thanks Sigmund) and searched for everything Slimboat. After finding two big files /usr/lib/slimboat/slimboat and another and trying them in the html viewer of the applications chooser no cigar. While looking at all the Slimboat files in Pfind I happened to double click on one and a folder opened with a read me file that said not to use the executable file but to use a file with a .sh at the end usr/lib/slimboat/slimboat.sh. After putting this file in html viewer of the applications chooser and starting cups bobs your uncle, cups started up in Slimboat and it also started when clicking the browser icon on the desktop by putting this file in browser in the applications chooser. So now I can print my spreadsheets, word processor files, send and receive email (with Sylpheed) and visit a few websites with an updated operating system (until 2023 or 2028). This computer came with Windoz ME (worst windoz ever), Windoz 2000 will be 21 years old soon, doesn't owe anyone anything and will save my P4's and newer computers. To have an OS that allows to keep these older computers running and have everything work speaks volumes for this program. A Christmas gift, now if I can figure out how to use paypal maybe PeeBee will get one.
Thanks Bird Dog (Merry Christmas and Happy New Year)

It's good however I'm using my customized version of Precise which base sfs is only 79MB in size and I can do everything the newer Puppys can. I'm even running the latest Palemoon browser. I also have Stretch 7.5 and Bionic on my machine but hardly ever use them. I guess I'm a minimalist at heart and also a bit reluctant to step away from something that just works.

I've clicked the 'official' Thanks button. But think it worth mentioning that after reading this thread I decided to deploy Bionicpup32 again; had last done so when 'upupbb' first came out. I'm now very satisfied. A really nice, polished Puppy. :thumbup2: It may displace dpup-stretch as my 'go-to' 32-bit OS. [Haven't run a ram-usage comparison; but that's no longer an important concern with my current computer systems].

mikesir: By any chance do you still have the iso for this, and possibly v21 or older? I've lost mine, and cannot find it anywhere on net. Even peebee does not have it. Thanks for any suggestion.
