Transmission 3.0 Stalling

Post by Fishy »

I am having an issue with my favourite book down-loader. I have checked every spot that might limit seeing time but nothing makes a difference. They even stalled 10 minutes after being downloaded! Not long ago with an earlier version I seeded 40 books for 2 or 3 months with out issue.

Running Fossapup 64
Transmission 3.0
Using Calibre 5.4.2 if that might impact Transmission use.

Thanks John :thumbup2:

How exactly did you install Transmission 3.0???
Specific details???

Maybe this pet and needed dependencies will help you.

The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected :o

Transmission-3.00-x86_64-fossa.pet

Port 51413 is open for transmission but it has 19 stalled seeders. It will work if you pause them all and restart but shortly they will stall again :o

maybe try tixati from quickpet. i found it far superior to transmission.
also i would be interested to hear if fossapups default client 'uget' works for you

edit: also check transmission settings for seed ratio setting

I have to port forward Transmission's listening port on my router to the machine running Transmission. Once I do this Transmission seems to work quite well. It also may be nessecary to modify firewall rules if there is one running.

Check Transmission/Preferences/Network to get or set the port number.
