Speed Up browsing ... DO YOU THINK IT WORKS?

Hello everybody:

I discovered this chrome extension.

It uses a simple principle to accelerate web pages navigation.- IT USES MOBILE VERSION of PAGES.

I think it works, you can activate or put it inactive depending on your needs (some pages can't work, but u only need to ckick on the extension and stop it) but it could be a subjective feeling, so, if you don't mind.... can you test it (chromium derivatives).

This extension is called SPEED UP BROWSING and Chrome is going to block it in a few days (it doesn't follow "Chrome Good Practices".

Do you think it works?
Do you consider it useful?
If YES, is it possible to make something similar for EasyOS or PuppyLinux?

It is possible to use an user agent switcher to make chromium identify as android.

It may work on some websites...the primary issue is "Do the websites I utilize most have a 'mobile friendly' version anymore?" If not the extension has nothing to do with the speed of your browsing. The ONE essential extension I use on all web browsers capable of using extensions that I run is currently uBlock Origin, either the chromium version or the legacy version for mozilla based browsers. In my New Moon build of Palemoon I'm using uCyborg's newest fork, since the original author is from Ukraine and has not been heard from in a couple of years (everyone should be aware of the situation in his homeland!)
Blocking advertisements not only speeds up browsing, but it drastically reduces the amount of data websites push downpipe on my metered connection! In my experience, uBlock decreases my data usage by about 50 percent! I experimented a few months a couple of years ago, and without ad blocking I burned through my monthly data cap about 4 or 5 days before the next billing cycle! Trust me, it's no fun when your connection gets throttled to approximately dialup 56K speeds!

I had ublock origin installed in firefox, but not in chromium, so I just installed but.... (look capt)

It looks like google doesn't like what works.

Guugle is rolling out Manifest V3 and this is an old news.
Ublock origin only works with Manifest V2.
Ublock origin, which is since many years the best ad-blocker (and much more):

• works best with Firefox and Firefox-based browser, you can find documentation online for the reasons why it is, if you are interested.

• is no longer supported in Chromium based web browsers as they are deprecating Manifest V2.

• Brave browser, a Chromium-based web browser, has its built-in privacy and security "shield" which is very good and as far as I know they have committed, for at least a while, to still support Manifest V2; hence you should be able to install ublock origin in it, but I do not know if this is still the case as I do not use it.

• "Ublock origin lite" (which is developed by the same author of "Ublock origin") is made in compliance with MV3 and so can be installed in your chromium-based web browser, but has limitations compared to the "standard" Ublock origin, this is due to the intrinsic limitations forced upon MV3 compared to MV2.
