I pluged in my Android phone via usb and wanted to mount the disks on it. I did:

#pupmtp

And it mounted to
mtpdev1

I imported photos with Shotwell and added some tags and deleted some files.

Then I made a sript:

#!/bin/bash
Pupmtp

Saved to /bin/pupmtp

Made a link to desktop

Ejected mtpdev1

Pressed link to mount Android and checked to see files were readable.

Hit ✅ save

Then I got:

WARNING!
There were some errors detected.
(see '/tmp/snapmergepuppy-error' for details)
Filesystem check of the save file (pfix=fsck) is recomended.

Then blank screen with:

_

In /tmp there is no file called snapmergepuppy-error

This is all duplication, pupmtp is a script in /usr/sbin which has an existing desktop file pupmtp.desktop in /usr/share/applications. You don't need to create an additional script, just place a link to /usr/share/applications/pupmtp.desktop on your desktop, this will suffice. To make a link, just drag and drop the desktop file on your desktop/

I don't know why you received the error message, however looking at the conky details in the screenshot you posted, your CPU, RAM and also Swap are maxed out, so maybe this has something to do with it. Was the save going to fill your storage space?

Imported photos to where?

If any location in the operating file system, it is going to add to the save.

Sure you did not run out of room in the save?

Anything placed in /mnt/home/ is outside of the save.

That is the partition the save is on.

The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.

This is not what I expected :o
