I have S15Pup32 built from 32-bit Slackware-15.0 components and Wifi works somewhat. The problem is that connecting to a network can take a very long time (5 minutes maybe until the final failure), and there is no status, and I can't find any method to abort the process. Is there a way to abort?

Re: Wifi (S15Pup32)
I haven't noticed that behavior but I have noticed that the later version 5X kernels hammer away constantly on my WiFi
in S15Pup32, whether connected or not. So, at present, I "kernel swap" and use an older version 4.14.173 kernel and the
corresponding zdrv_s15pup32.sfs (contains the various drivers) I use a custom S15Pup32 240413, on an old Acer Aspire One
AOA150 netbook, has an Atheros 5.4.X WiFi Chip. Do you know what chip you have? Also, which tool are you using to attempt
to connect? Usually Simple Network Setup (SNS) works for me, but have used Frisbee successfully when I was trying to
track down what in the 5.X kernels is constantly querying the network adapters, still haven't figured it out.
I might make my old 4.X kernel + zdrv available as a "fallback" for others if requested.
