This forum houses several manners to build a distro. But, ONLY 1 has SOLVED the element of an ability to boot OOTB on a Secure Boot PC for those who come to it with a Windows PC. Almost every PC manufactured by a reputable computer corp has build PC with Secure Boot enabled and operational with its OS. ... EVERY!
@jamesbond/@kirk setup and implemented @fatdog years ago with this technology enabled in their distros.
I know the many members who anger at the mere mention of MS/Windows/SecureBoot, but Secure was NOT a MS invention; it was implemented because of a concern for security by the world's hardware manufacturers. This part is overlooked by many members, not to mention that most people NEVER want to change from an older technology to a better. So our behavior is normal, yet at some point we must turn to "try" to see benefit.
The forum's distros center around how a linux is built or generated. We have generators for
Built in Fatdog
Built in WoofCE
Built in DOGs (by @fredx181)
Built in KLs
Built in EASY
Built in etc
on the forum with only @fatdog distros implemented with SecureBoot, apparent and OOTB when booted on a SecureBoot enabled PC. As such, a Windows/RedHat enabled PC user merely reboots with a Fatdog and vice-versa with no user concern or hoop to jump-thru.
I ask: Is it time for other forum distro generation tools to consider following @fatdog lead?
I found this video and thought people, here, would want to see for consideration.
