No Brightness control

Post by Andrew Lohmann »

S15pup 64, 22.02
Sony Vaio, Legacy Boot, originally Windows 7,

The screen runs at full brightness how can that be fixed the function keys f7 and f8 don't change the brightness - they don't in Windows 10 either but there is a way to do it. They do work on Debian XFCE.

Alternatively, I could use another Pup. But the Debian and the Ubuntu based ones don't start up.

@Andrew Lohmann
There might be a way. This .xbps package attached to this post is included in KLV-Airedale which should also work in VoidPup.

Will make a menu entry called Display Control

Install this XBPS using the VoidPup64 package manager.
