Puppy has multiple tools for making an internet connection, this one is for Conman
This tutorial will cover the two most common types of connection.

  • Ethernet, hard wire

  • Wireless, WiFi

This icon in the right of the taskbar shows your connection status
If it’s blue or flashing one green box, you are connected.

Connect using Ethernet

If you are using Ethernet (hardwire) you will normally be connected automatically.
The default Network Manager is Connman, to open it click Menu>Setup>Internet connection manager
You will see the status of your wired connection. The rectangle box on the top right is a slider switch. Clicking on it will turn your connection on or off.

If you have no wireless devices shown in the left hand column, then your wireless is not recognized and you should request assistance on the Puppy Linux Forum

Puppy has several other Internet management programs available to help with more complicated or difficult connection types.
Access them from: Menu>Setup>Internet connection switcher

You can also request assistance on the Puppy Linux Forum
