Possible to run another operating system in a container?

Hi,

An operating system can be installed as a virtual machine to be used with qemu-kvm.
But is it possible to run a kind of lxc/lxd/incus container of a different operating system through the Easy Setup frontend | EasyOS | Easy Containers app?
It would be great if this could be possible.

EasyContainers currently only supports running Puppy and Puppy-derivative OSs.
In theory, it could be generalized a bit more ...maybe one day.
