Difficult procedure to uninstall packages

Post by libertas »

I needed to uninstall a package through PKGget.

The PKGget window has some issues that make it more difficult to operate.
If I want to read the description of the packages and stretch the window to the right, the width of the Packages | Description pane doesn't increase in size as expected, instead it's the left part of the window that is stretched.
So, I always have to use the horizontal scrollbar for each package that I want to see the description.

Another issue is regarding uninstalling packages.
The bottom right part of the window is shallow, only shows three rows of installed packages.
If the windows is stretched down, that pane doesn't get taller. Instead, the white are below is enlarged.

These two issues make things more difficult.

In PKGget open the configuration window (with the configuration button). In this windows change the user interface to Ziggy . Validate.
PKGget closes and reopens with the Ziggy Interface.
There is a button to display the installed packages and eventually uninstall. The windows are resizeable.

Yes, the Ziggy interface was created by forum member @zigbert

zigbert used to be very prolific on the old forum, a master at using gtkdialog, created many svg icons, and apps such as pMusic and Pburn.

I checked, he is still contributing to this forum, just more low-key. I see that he is still developing pMusic:

Note, EasyOS has Pburn, in the Multimedia menu.
