you are likely corrrect.
AI bots have been a plague to forums for years.
Some here take up the conversation with the bots quite readily.
Maybe they do it on purpose to make the bots go away sooner.

Spammers have been employing automated tools for years. People will use whatever tools they can to get their messages out for whatever benefits they seek. Some have a sense of legitimacy even when we DONT want their products, others are a GRIFT.
Its not a new problem, just more of them today.
Blaming AI is like 'blaming the Internet', IMHO. But, spam is most annoying also, IMHO.
