Three ISOs of Vanilladpup-x86_64 - Are These Different and How do They Differ?

Aren't these three separate versions of the operating system? If so, why are there different ISOs, three of them, and what are the differences?
I am preparing to download and try one or more of these, but which ones and why should one differ from another?
There is one called "retro," the second is called "xwayland" and the third has no designation:

I searched on this forum for an explanation or discussion of this topic, and it seems like this hasn't been specifically discussed, or referred to in other topics.

Thanks in advance.

you can find the differences between your number 2 and 3 here on the official website , for the retro variant, your number one, you can read the first post of the official topic.

If you are unsure which one to pick I would strongly recommend you to get your number 3.

I tried the 'retro' and it's kind of crippled. It runs but there are almost no utilities and programs pre-installed. No browser for example. It is not for a typical end-user.

Also ran the strict 'iso' version and also the 'wayland' version, both seemed very similar, I wasn't really able to see the difference. They're working, and I have the strict version on my desktop and the wayland version on my laptop, both are running very smoothly.

I think that the package managers on both of these are not so great. the PPM is there but crippled with only one repository that doesn't have a lot of applications contained there. The Synaptic PM is there but I was having trouble finding things in its repository.

One good thing I found with VanillaDpup64 was the Bluetooth connectivity and implementation. I was able to implement Bluetooth on my laptop and was able to use it to tether a WIFI connection from my Android device instead of the laptop's internal hardware and was able to go online with only Bluetooth tethered to the Android.

Probably there are a good number of better reviews of VanillaDpup64 elsewhere on this forum and this is a very cursory impression that I just gathered from around two weeks of running it on both the laptop and the desktop.
