Vanilla Dpup 10.0.68 - wireless hardware not recognized on a Lenovo laptop

Post by Feek »

I would like to use Vanilla Dpup 10.x.x (xorg version) on a Lenovo V15 G4 IRU laptop.

The biggest obstacle I see now is that the wireless hardware was not recognized.

The laptop is equipped with a Realtek RTL8852BE PCIe 802.11ax Wireless Network Controler [10ec:b852].

Is there any way to get this working?

If I understand correctly it's supported since Linux 6.2, so you have two options
1. Replace the kernel with >=6.2.x
2. Wait for Vanilla Dpup 11.0.x, which will ship with a newer kernel (10.0.x sticks with kernel 6.1.x)
