Kernel development strategy - Real Time ... Why

Post by Clarity »

Hello @rockedge
3 decades ago, I worked on a project that involved "Real-Time" needs for some required specialized signaling equipment. There were 3 operating systems being evaluated as we progressed early development strategies before settling.

Real-Time "really in layman's terms" means the methods the OS uses to interrupt normal system scheduling to divert and dedicate system resources to a specific subsystem or app.

I KNOW you know this! Yet, I was catching up on some past videos I had in my watchlist and thought of your work!

Enjoy this explanation of Tovalds Real-time signaling in 2024.

NO response is asked or expected to this post. Its merely FYI
