Python - alternative install?

Thanks for the updates to this OS, if only I could wean myself off Ubuntu then this would be 'go to'

I wanted to know what would be the best solution to update Python for the OS?

Add it directly to the Devx.sfs

Ideally, it would better to incorporate this into the OS instead of having to add it to my 'Save' file.

Thoughts and suggestions are welcome!
