Hello everybody:

First of all, I know this program is oldfashioned, there are much more better ones, there.... but I like it to find remember music at M2club / dance.

I try to find it for Easy OS, but it is impossible for me.- So I went to the old-forum ... PUPPY and I downloaded different versions, NO ONE WORKS.

Can any of you tell me if I can find this soft or not for Easy Os ?

Where?

Thanks a lot in advance.

(I have this soft working in f96ce_xfce_fusilli, but I wanna work with Easy Os)

Have a nice weekend.-

The script uses mplayer.
I don't know if mplayer is supported in scarthgap which is latest Easy OS version??

..But I did see this in repository...
Perhaps these codecs are meant to be played in ffmpeg??

Hi Barry.

With this software there is a small problen that any of u can solve.

When I start multimedia radio, there are 8 fixed stations That I don't know how to change gor the stations I know.

With gtk radio, I search "dance", "club", "m2"... and I find this radios and ,what is more important for my needs, when a song I like is being played, I can read the name of this son, find in on utube, download the mp3 and add it to my music collection.

Thanks.

Have a nice day.

It works.

You make my day (I downloaded versions 1.16, 1.17 and 1.18 https://oldforum.puppylinux.com/viewtopic.php?t=90842 and they didn't work, but this version perfect for my system)

RECOMENDED EASYOS 6.02 ScarthGap.

GTK RADIO 1.18 Working in EasyOs

(I attached the file again for easier find)

sound ok BUT there is an inconvenient... I must test it more but first impressions is that the tiltle of the playing song doesn't appear.
:((

The version I am looking for is 1.19 (look image, because it shows the title of the song)

Yes I cant find 0.1.19
You could take all your files in f96ce from
/usr/local/simplegtkradio/
and put them into the same place in easy.

Thanks for your suggestion.- I'll try it later and I'll tell you if it works (I hope yes, haha).

Have a nice saturday.

Hi again.-

As you can see, I can't wait to test your suggestion, hahahha... and, IT WORKS

So the final solution for me is to install SIMPLE GTK RADIO 0.1.18, and then overwrite fhe usr/local/simplegtkradio FOLDER with the 0.1.19

Fantastic. It sound nice and shows titles.

THANKS A LOT --- This is the way LINUX must work.- What one knows we all knows.

MY PLEASURE.

@pp4mnklinux and others. You may like this. See: viewtopic.php?p=124765#p124765 for new Simple GTK Radio v0.1.20 (with improvements IMHO).

Hello

First you need to know the "url" of the radio you want, I use the web: https://www.radio-browser.info/ there, in the search box I search the radio, for example (I write) "bbcworld" And on the results page you choose the one you like and click on it, and there you can get the "url" (in this case: http://stream.live.vc.bbcmedia.co.uk/bbc_world_service)

Then you go to pupradio, and you fill in the name box (any you want), the url box (The url you have obtained from the web) and finally you choose the "Preset No" you want (from 1 to 8) and don't forget to press "Save Preset" button. And that is all

With the next radio, you repeat the process, but don't forget to choose a different "Preset No" (unless you want to change the previous one)

You can also edit the presets if i remember with the files

Code: Select all

/root/.pupradio/stations			 # Radio Names
/root/.pupradio/urls				 # Radio urls

Sorry, i don't speek English well, but may be is understandable.

I love pupradio, i think its the perfect tool to use with your favourite radio stations, a second radio app would be cool for exploring new radios, record with name and splitting the songs, but the number one for me is pupradio. :D

With the new version of Simple GTK Radio viewtopic.php?p=124765#p124765 , searching and playing can be done without having to use a browser first, more convenient imo.

I have pretty much decided to have StreamTuner2 builtin in the next release of EasyOS.
I got it to work very well with streamripper:

https://bkhome.org/news/202407/streamri ... uner2.html

It seems only good for audio streaming.
It does have Peertube, which is video streaming; however, I couldn't get it to work.
So set Peertube channel to default not enabled.

Working.

viewtopic.php?p=125227#p125227

You only need to download the pet, run it and it will update you simple gtk radio to this version.-

You are not gonna loose your list.

~~~~~
EDITED------
It is possible that after updating to 1.20, some desktop link doesn't work, just re-link it to the appropriate GTK program and the problem will be solved (/usr/local/simplegtkradio/simplegtkradio)
