Regardng Internet browser.
I see no point in bloating a base iso with any large browser users may well not want.
Since fully-Arch-Linux-compatible KLA-HyprlandCE-1.0 comes with official and complete pacman package manager (think of it like Quickpet...).
To install Browser, you simply need to open a terminal and enter command:
Or open Pamac package manager MOD + shift + P and install from there.

note:
If he suddenly complains that he cannot install the package, delete "db.lck" in ( /var/lib/pacman/db.lck )

Another great release. Mnual frugal install to internal NVME drive.

So far one minor issue, wofi large has a strange behaviour. On initial display it is in a 9 row x 5 column display, pressing the down arrow until the 5th row, then the display changes to 10 x 4 array. The next press (to highlight Foot Client) the display reverts to a 9 x 5 array, with the highlighted application being in a different row/column.

I don’t know what’s wrong with Wofi, I can’t reproduce the problem, everything works for me

OK, this is an odd one that the display changes after the first save is created. To check I deleted the upper_changes directory, the dispaly of wofi large is a 9 x 5 grid and navigating the entries gives the weird behaviour of changing to a 10 x 4 grid as shown in my previous post. The view is changing, the highlighted item runs when Enter is pressed, so it is just the appearance.

To test, I deleted the upper_changes directory to test again, the original display is a 9 x 5 grid, when navigating the grid changes to a 10 x 4 grid and the resultant display behaviour. After a save is created and reboot the display is 10 x 4 and does not change as it did previously. So appears to be an anomaly.

Edit: I just checked the WofiBig/config file, which has columns = 5. This was how the window was originally displayed, however it is now being displayed with 4 columns.

I initially displayed 2 columns on a large Wofi, you’re even lucky that you have 4 columns.
really an anomaly, but I won’t be surprised at anything, the further Arch gets worse, the size of the packages has become very large, and the other changes they made are also not very good.we'll survive this too :) so far Arch is not so bad

I mentioned in KLV_Hyprland that I couldn't get a right click on my Asus laptop, both sides of the click portion of the touchpad, when checked using wev produce button: 272 (Left) action. This is the same behaviour in both KLV Hyprland and KLA Hyprland. Playing around while running wev, I found I can get a right click (button: 273 (Right) ) by doing a 2 finger click in the click portion of the touchpad. Not sure what middle click is, need to play some more.

Enable and disable the touchpad

touchpad from version Hyprland-0.35 will not work in version Hyprland-0.37. Therefore, a new script has been written for Arch Hyprland-0.37 .
add the following to your hyprland config (the device name maybe depends on your machine):
see title hyprctl devices . enter name in /home/spot/.config/hypr/hyprland.conf 156 line

Code: Select all

$LAPTOP_KB_ENABLED = true
device {
  name = synps/2-synaptics-touchpad  #enter the name touchpad
  enabled = $LAPTOP_KB_ENABLED
}

/home/spot/.config/hypr/scripts/touchpad.sh
[

Code: Select all

#!/usr/bin/env bash
# hyprctl devices
#

export STATUS_FILE="$XDG_RUNTIME_DIR/keyboard.status"

enable_keyboard() {
    printf "true" >"$STATUS_FILE"
    notify-send -u normal "Enabling Touchpad"
    hyprctl keyword '$LAPTOP_KB_ENABLED' "true" -r
}

disable_keyboard() {
    printf "false" >"$STATUS_FILE"
    notify-send -u normal "Disabling Touchpad"
    hyprctl keyword '$LAPTOP_KB_ENABLED' "false" -r
}

if ! [ -f "$STATUS_FILE" ]; then
  enable_keyboard
else
  if [ $(cat "$STATUS_FILE") = "true" ]; then
    disable_keyboard
  elif [ $(cat "$STATUS_FILE") = "false" ]; then
    enable_keyboard
  fi
fi

I found time for Wofi here, increase ( width=70% ) on line 12 in /home/spot/.config/hypr/wofi/WofiBig/config.
to display the required number of columns.
