I've got the 2021 Softmaker office. Which of the available downloads are most appropriate for EasyOS?

https://www.softmaker.com/en/download/old-versions

DEB, RPM and GTZ version are available.

@pamojja :-

I see you found your way over here, then.... :welcome: to the "kennels"!

Ordinarily, I would recommend using my 'portable' package. However, with EasyOS being as fully 'containerized' & 'sandboxed' as it is, in addition to running certain things in a 'chroot' environment, I honestly wouldn't like to say whether it would work or not.

Can't be any harm in trying it. The thread is here:-

There's also 'standalone' builds of each of the 3 main components.....so you could run just the word-processor, or just the spreadsheet, etc. The 2021 builds should be fine. Installation & use instructions are always in the first post of my threads.

You can find a full listing of all my 'portable-app' threads here:-

If you're having issues with any particular item, you'd be better off asking in the EasyOS sub-forum:-

Softmaker Office is a PET package available for Easy, via PKGget, the package manager.
Type "freeoffice" or "softmaker" in the search box.
