Brother Laser Printer Driver - brlaser

brlaser is a CUPS driver for Brother laser printers.

Although most Brother printers support a standard printer language such as PCL or PostScript, not all do. If you have a monochrome Brother laser printer (or multi-function device) and the other open source drivers don't work, this one might help.

Although my Brother MFC7820N is not listed above (or in the list that appears in cups after installing this driver...) it seems that it does actually work fine with this driver - as long as I select the MFC7420 as the model in cups. (Must be similar internal graphics interface)
