While I was about to reflect on this project, information about the farewell appeared on their website (penultimate news there). That's life. Well, the project is still worth talking about.
The authors decided to make BunsenLabs, but only with Arch instead of Debian. Openbox+tint2 and no frills
Unlike previous projects (chapters 1-3), which were a set of scripts, our current hero is distributed as an iso image.
After downloading from the image, you just need to type the word installer in the console. Installation is step-by-step. I don't know about novice users, but a user of average training will cope for sure
The only real difficulty is partitioning the disk.
Everything is loaded not from the disk image, but from Arch repositories, just as in previous cases. Therefore, everything is fresh after installation.
At one of the steps, you can select a set of installable programs. In principle, the basic set for everyday tasks is there. The rest can be installed later using standard Arch methods.
PulseAudio. Not PipeWire.
There are utilities for configuring the appearance of the system. If you have the skills, you can configure the tint2 panel and make all the design similar to @Sofiya's in KLA
I noticed that some items of the main menu opened by right-clicking on the desktop do not cause help files. This can be eliminated, but not necessarily. This is a small thing, it does not affect the use.
In general, I can put this project on the same level as alis and give the same number of points
I will tell you about some curious and interesting moments in the following posts.
