This is a project to give F96-CE4 Puppy Linux a more attractive look, in order to increase users interested about trying Puppy Linux.

We are not codding professionals, so in case you can help us to improve this mod, all of you are welcome, but please, in case your main objective is only to find errors, made this project more difficult or minusvalorate our work, stop reading at this point, THANKS.

We must give credits and mention all the developers, graphic designers, testers... (it's imposible for me mention them all) who made us being capable of start working on this project (as I said credits to all of them).

This is the first @nilsonmorales project with a x64 PuppyLinux, and he used to develop it the last version (non official) of puppy, F96-CE-3)

When we started this project, we bear in mind create not a faster puppy, not a more complex one, not a… but a more attractive one.

Each day, when working with students, I discovered that they don’t feel the same motivation about linux as I have, because they think it is complex and with no attractive effect, but this changed the day they saw the effects Nilson include in one of his previous distros.- BLANCA EDITION. (glass effect and CUBE)

The problem with this version, is that it uses a x32 environment, and we know we must create a most updated one, so we started working with F96-CE-3.

So after a lot of tries and tests, we feel proud to present the Release Candidate of our distro.-
F96CE-XFCE-FUSILLI 4.2 (name where we mentioned its origin, the base xfce and the used visual effects through fusilli)

You can see our modification on the included pupplet (etc) but we want to include them here not to make u waste your precious time (it’s an attached text file)

If you want to obtain more info, we are starting to build a site where we are going to include some characteristics, tips and tricks to facilitate the complete use of this Puppy derivative.

It is a spanish distro, but you can change the language without problem.

Pupple with the info, its included in the RC iso, into the etc folder, but we include it here to so you can test it

I am going to put a short description of what this puppy brings, in addition to the most common difficulties or errors in this iso.
The first thing we want to emphasize is the visual and modern aspect that can be seen with a somewhat different but useful system tray for the user, a puppy that needs a more or less modern machine with 2 gigabytes of ram. We haven't tried it yet, but we would have to see. .
xfce4 is quite flexible to give another aspect to the menu and the panel with a very versatile administrator of the same.

Newaita-dark icon theme comes fully integrated into the system, with a dark theme that gives it a new and different touch.

The user icon has the most common shortcuts like screenshot, load sfs, call quickpet or package manager, edit notifier among other things.

Also if you have a computer with little ram you can use only xfce without the effects for which also in the system tray you can call both fusilli and xfce managers

brightness and temperature control, also the workspaces on one side of the shutdown interface and the trash together so you don't have to be displaying the menu all the time.

The file manager is thunar and the terminal is xfce4-terminal easy to use and understand.

Visual effects such as floating windows, cube among others draw attention to potential new users

The weather application: one of the best that this puplet offers, easy to use and very useful

Observations:
virtualbox: trying virtualbox with this puppy was not one of the best experiences, the windows get stuck when unfolding, in addition you have to find the appropriate configuration of cpu and ram to make it work as well as possible, in addition to the fact that the window frames are lost.
Yad: most tray apps are written in yad, Panel_username, pm13, Fusilli-gui, brightness and tint, so not knowing programming I couldn't make them independent from each other if you want to kill a process, for example the weather application is the only one that can be closed independently (written by tenoch), some knowledge is needed for that, doing pkill yad kills all instances.
The times: both autostart and Startup handle the applications at startup, depending on the team the reaction time changes so it seems to me that sometimes the applications crash when starting an example if fusilli and conky have the same startup time frames are lost , so you have had to add a refresh on the right click if that happens; right click on desktop -- refresh desktop.
powerapplet: replaced by cbatticon
pm13 pupmode 13, which is when the session is saved to usb, was also modified in a simple way so as not to have to use an icon on the desktop.
Tunar and its warning to be root: for that the user tenoch compiled a version prior to the one offered by ppm, it is not known if reinstalling thunar will give the warning, most likely it will.
