Bionic Pup 32: need printer driver for HP deskjet 2050A

Greetings,
For Bionic pup 32, there is no HP driver for my HP deskjet 2050A, and the pet package for CUPS HP 3.17 failed to load. Anyone know what/where the driver is for my printer?

Where did you get the pet from?

I downloaded it from the puppy package manager that came with Bionic pup iso....any idea where there is a complete 3.17 package with all the needed files?

@wasley51 what you need is the hplip package!

CUPS that is installed by default should suffice and it isn't nessecary to upgrade. Track down the Bionic32 hplip package and install it. This should have the HP drivers now included in the CUPS HP selections.

Just to clarify, I was downloading from the PPM that came with the initial install these 3:
-hplip-gui; hplip.3.17.10+repacks5: hplip-data.
Only the "data" one download/installed, the other two aborted for lack of many libraries. So far I can't find a link or repository that has a complete "hplip" for the Bionic32; if anyone out there knows where I can find these, plz. advise.
