When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected 
The C and Rust books I downloaded are all PDFs.
A couple of them are links to online HTML pages, but with a "print" icon that enabled the entire book to be downloaded as a PDF.
As I recall, "The Rust Programming language" is an example of that.
I took a look at some of the shell scripting books, a couple were online HTML only.
Did download one Bash scripting book, which is in epub format.
Still have the link in my browser:

...even though it says "PDF", it downloaded as epub. The top download button didn't work. Had to click on "I am human" checkbox, then click on the bottom download button.
