Ethernet and Wifi Advancements

Post by Clarity »

Months ago, I posted a thread, here, on Ethernet changes afoot. By now, many of us know that WiFi6 and Wifi6e are now a thing as well as wired Ethernet changes increasing LAN performance.

There are 3 NEW Wifi technologies that will begin rollout at the very beginning of this coming year. Here is a video to provide understanding of what they are and the benefits we will have in our homes and our surrounding. For the majority of all of us, these will implement via our routers (or modem-routers provided by ISPs if you dont use your own).

Enjoy any knowledge you might gain.

So, I will be able to start my car, from 1 kilometer away, with the remote start feature.
How did we ever live before this?

The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected :o

I found that bandwidth capability "interesting" too. But, in rural areas, to get to the barn or out-house (smile) that distance would be an advantage, especially since IoTs of all sorts are here to stay.

There has been "talk" among ISPs and corporates about a Public use via home systems. But, I did notice, too, that there was an uproar over potential security concerns without the uproar understanding the technology. At this point, I am not sure if the announcements of the standards bodies is any part of that earlier Public use strategy.

Anyway, there appears to be some useful good news in those announcements, IMHO.
