LXDE for NoblePup64
Builder of LxPups, SPups, UPup32s, VoidPups; LXDE, LXQt, Xfce addons; Chromium, Firefox etc. sfs; & Kernels
Re: LXDE for NoblePup64
Thanks, That combo makes a great pup. I've been using a test version solidly for a week or so and it's all been good.
Cheers,
My pups: LxPupSc64 and Voidpup64 with LXDE ydrv and synaptics touchpad drivers, both using small savefiles for customizations. Ydrv based NoblePup64 and Fossapup64-small (both LXDE/PCManFM with no savefiles). No fdrvs throughout.

@Marv
How do you load up the LXDE and retain it? (wmswitcher ?)
Does it come with different component parts?
Can you use themes/icon packs?
I would be interested to see a variant ISO with this desktop.
Any chance of sharing some screenshots?

@Jasper
To run NP64 as LXDE, just place the adrive @peebee posted in your boot directory for NP64 and reboot.
Configuration is pretty standard LXDE using panel settings, lxappearance -accessed via Menu>Desktop>Desktop Settings, and just rightclicking on the panels. Under Options in lxappearance, rightclicks and drives-on-desktop can be added. Pretty good selection of gtk2/3 themes on board. I have a little terminal based theme switcher that picks up a few odds and ends lxappearance misses and works for JWM as well. I'll add it here later.
There is a desktop switcher under Setup in the main menu but I haven't played with it. Once I'm happy with the configurations I save to a temporary savefile and then add it to the default adrive.
Setup and customization is so easy just adding the LXDE ydrives or adrive in the case of NP64 I prefer that to a custom iso though to be honest I have 3 users happily plunking away on good old LxPupSc64
To be fair, I've used LXDE for so long it's like an old shoe to me but I really think overall configuration is more flexible and the panel much more robust than JWM.
Cheers,

@peebee
Thank you.
If you understand LXDE, do you think you can answer this question?
