Re: Show Us Your Desktop..!!
Evening, gang.
Well, here it is. The new-to-me Dell Latitude E6430.....running radky's utterly brilliant Bookworm Pup 64:-
Yes, it's in my usual layout. ("Boring, boring...." I LIKE 'boring'. It's predictable, so I know what I'm doing!) [Ba-da-dum!] gKrellM and pWidgets over on the right - the 'Infocenter', as I call it...[Ba-da-bing!] And happily set-up with most of my usual portables.....nearly all of which are still fully functional under Debian 12. [Yay!]
I think this'll do me nicely for a good while to come...
Mike.

peebee's upup64n-24.09-241004, https://github.com/peabee/woof-CE/relea ... .09-241004.
I've installed radky's jwm-desk 3.6 and pWidgets 2.6.0. which currently can't display analog clocks. My have to hunt-up a suitable xonclock IIRC to use analog clocks. But, I can live with digital if I have to. The icons are stark42, except for the 'blue-bone' save icon.
So far the only other issue I have with this NoblePup64 is that while Osmo works, it does not show 'Contacts'. I rarely need the info it would contain. But it would be annoying to have to boot into a different Puppy when I do. Update, after much searching and trial & error, I found that the easiest solution for a Contacts manager was Mikewalsh's portable Thunderbird.

Hi Mike - what's the preferred Office that you are running? Always the same one or do you chop and change?
Cheers!

Re: Show Us Your Desktop..!!
@greengeek :-
Ah, that's one of my "specials", Ian. It's a YAD-powered multi-launcher.......and brings up a half-dozen or so different ones. THEN I decide what I want to use. Like this:-
I'm in Tahrpup64 on the big HP desktop rig ATM, but I use the same multi-launcher and the same approximate range of Office suites/apps in every Pup in the "kennels".
That "WORD 2000", an acquaintance gave me a copy of the two-disc Office 2000 set-up many, many years ago. I don't use the other stuff, but WORD 2000 is actually a pretty good "standalone" word-processor, believe it or not.....and since I always have WINE installed for the PhotoScape image editor (which I use a LOT; have done since my Win XP days. It's what I use to design all my desktop backgrounds), it's just a hop, a skip and a jump to install WORD. I choose 'Custom Install', and tick just the required checkboxes for this to work by itself. Everything else gets the 'heave-ho'..!

Re: Show Us Your Desktop..!!
Seems that if you made a giant portable package with yad launchers like that which could be downloaded and used in most pups and forum distros, well that would make our little distro corner of the planet quite extravagant!
