can't find way to create wrapper for ZTE dongle.

Post by boof »

it's working on bionic-64 but not in this version. Telstra MF833V TIA

EDIT
Apparently it's the old CDC ETH driver, discontinued in this version?

unfortunately, on this side of the continent, most of the peripheral hardware seems to be NOS that they haven't been able to sell elsewhere, so it's often nearly discontinued stock, making nothing is viable long term, because there's too few parts left. it's deliberate, and it's a con. it's not really cheap either, despite the promises of price matching/bettering. they all have the same stock, at much the same prices. and they're too far away to travel between them to get a decent deal and bring it home. delivery is too expensive, killing all savings, and my items can't easily be condensed into a few bulk shops each year.

I went searching and found this: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/USB_mobile_broadband_modem

Perhaps it'll help?

thanks, but no, i can't use it. it is a WCDMA ddongle, i don't believe it needs to dial anything. can i copy the bionic64 module into F96CE4, or do i have to update it for newer kernel pls explain how if its needed> i have the windows ini and driver files to make a wrapper
it appears that F9CE4 has had it"s CREATE A WRAPPER abilty removed or poorly automated? it mentions it's possible, but nothing i do will activate it. i'll get another copy of the iso just in case. i'm low on data atm.

edit
fixed by reinstall os. i now have it working. apologies to all offended by rants.
