@Jasper :-

Me, I just use John van Sickle's statically-compiled ffmpeg builds. I do appreciate, however, that not everyone wants enormous ffmpeg binaries containing everything PLUS the kitchen sink.....especially when all those dependencies already exist on the system. What? Duplication?? NEVER.....

They're for folks - like me - who have more RAM + storage than they know what to do with. Though, having said that, I have a copy of the ffmpeg binaries - in both arches - on an external partition, and these, between them, are symlinked into every Pup in the kennels. So there's not AS much over-duplication as you might imagine.....

You're definitely appreciated though, Jasper! We NEED more people like you in the community.....especially when many - like yours truly - have atrocious compiling skills..... :D

Keep up the good work, mate.

Mike. ;)

Homepage:

https://github.com/dheera/clip2type

clip2type

If you have encountered any websites that don't let you paste things from the clipboard, e.g.

  • Bank websites that don't let you paste routing/account numbers for wire transfers

  • Virtual machines that capture Ctrl+V but don't sync the clipboard

  • SMS confirmations that use 6 separate text boxes and don't paste the code correctly

  • Buggy HTML code editors

  • Probably a lot of other things

... this is the solution. It takes the (text) contents of the keyboard, emulates a fake hardware USB keyboard on /dev/uinput and types out whatever is in the clipboard, so that the receiving application doesn't "know" it is being pasted into. It requires suid or sudo to work correctly.

Supports qwerty and dvorak layouts (it is layout dependent since it is emulating hardware keystrokes on /dev/uinput and so it needs to know whether your UI is configured for qwerty or dvorak). If you have some other layout, edit it yourself.

This should work on x11 and wayland, but I have only tested it on wayland. (tested and works on X11  )

Example:

Open up your browser and a terminal.

In the terminal ( if using a qwerty keyboard) enter

clip2type - 100 -k qwerty

Then in your browser just highlight some text.

Finally open up Geany etc and click inside and it should paste the contents you selected ( no CTRL+C nor CTRL+V required).

Should be simple enough to create a script to include in the menu :thumbup2:

Fork of Floorp web browser.

Works in VoidPup64 as it requires Glibc-2.38.

firedragon-v11.19.1-1.sfs

FireDragon is a browser based on the excellent Floorp browser (also called the Vivaldi of Firefox's).

It was customised to have dr460nized-fitting aesthetics (Garuda Linux) as well as many opinionated settings by default.

As this browser was originally a Librewolf fork.
