The .squashfs files are made using xz compression (to keep the size down a little), with gzip compression the size would be around 890 MB.

Many applications (including some new ones) and much firmware included.
Runs with elogind (no systemd) and has a no-merged-usr filesystem.
Has display-manager "slim" installed, this makes it a true multi-user system (i.e. you can login as user "puppy" or create a user yourself), (without a display manager it's not really a true multi-user system as you can get back from "user" to "root" easily without having to enter password).
The sound system included is plain ALSA, if you want pipewire, install pipewire-setup package (apt install pipewire-setup and reboot) , or at build, add it to the applications to be be installed).

Disclaimer: Some applications aren't tested by me, (e.g. some included apps from rcrsn51 (peasy* applications or other) may not work as expected).

Login details : Autologin as root enabled (/etc/slim.conf preconfigured),
password root = root
password puppy = puppy

Built with "mklive-bookworm-exp" (see attached here: viewtopic.php?p=128926#p128926) using config file "lxqt-full.conf", attachment:

Assuming lxqt-full.conf is on the same level as "mklive-bookworm-exp", to build (and/or to edit with your own preferences, unedited will create exactly the same as the ISO):
./mklive-bookworm-exp -gui lxqt-full.conf

-How to auto connect to wifi?
-Reboot/shutdown from the menu will not create save session, just confuse with the logout icon on the desktop(will do auto save session) at reboot/shutdown.
-how to mount a created swapfile at next booting?

- Once you connected or created a wifi profile with peasywifi, click the "Auto" tab and you can switch it on (or off).

It also displays a graphical Save/NoSave prompt in case booted with the changes=EXIT:/... boot option (choice to save or not at shutdown).

- One simple way would be to create a script in ~/Startup (and make it executable) with something inside like swapon /path/to/swapfile

EDIT: Booting directly from ISO can be nice for to quickly try out, but note that it really has it's limitations, e.g. /mnt/home is not writable, inconvenient to configure boot options (for e.g. save storage) etc...

I have some, that I dont know how to fix.
Librewolf portable has no sound.
Firewall wont autostart.
Wifi icon in the right bottom corner missing.

Deblive is stable sofar I tested:
- relative low memory usage
- wifi connection is good

Actually porteus booting process still working. If I use change-ro, it will popup Save/NoSave prompt on both (launcher on the Desktop and from the menu).
Basically I like to use simple thing (you snooze you loose) without any further prompt.

I have some, that I dont know how to fix.
Librewolf portable has no sound.

Is it a portable setup shared on this forum that you use ?
Anyway AFAIK Librewolf needs pulseaudio for sound to work, for a system without pulseaudio you can use "apulse", which will emulate pulseaudio.
If what you use is the appimage from here: https://librewolf.net/installation/linux/ then install apulse apt update; apt install apulse and run it like this;
apulse /path/to/LibreWolf.x86_64.AppImage

Firewall wont autostart.

Just add it to startup:
EDIT: Ooops... it's showing twice then after logging back in, to fix that remove the script exec_fwstatus-autostart from ~/Startup (then it will only start from ~/.config/autostart)

Finally got a chance to install it on my Windows 7 era 4 gig of ram desktop.

Did the default Chrome install and I'm posting from it now.

All seems as expected so far.

It's noticeable faster than the Buster Dog I am running most of the time on this machine.
