Re: Fossapup User Contributed Packages
Hello All
My thanks and appreciation to members who take the time and trouble to offer their individual completed packages to others via this Forum.
The choice given is to download and to test ‘blind’ or to not download at all.
If a pro and cons description was include in the post this would be informative helpful information and could be used as a guidance.
The argument could be made that “I produce, you buy or not.” Fair comment, although a little more than “here it is” would be welcome.
An in depth analysis is not required, just a little more info on the package.
Without prejudice I use the preceding post by @Jasper as my example.
The adverse results of further investigation into Zen Browser have led me to decide not to download the packaged zen-browser.SFS.
Thanks.

Hello All
It would be rather remiss of me not share the search result for Zen Browser that influenced my decision to not download zen-browser.SFS.
Search reveals
Is the Zen Browser secure?
Sources
zen-browser.com favicon
zen.co.uk faviconAnswer
Zen Browser is a relatively new browser that emphasizes security and privacy features. It is based on Google Chrome (or Chromium) and includes built-in ad-blocking and cryptocurrency mining prevention tools
Security Features
Ad-blocking: Zen BrowserSources includes a built-in ad blocker which helps in speeding up browsing and saving data
Cryptocurrency Mining Prevention: It has features to block cryptocurrency miners, which can protect users from unauthorized use of their computing resources
Encryption: The iOS version of Zen Browser encrypts internet traffic to keep online activities private and secure from prying eyes
Privacy Considerations
History Management: Currently, Zen Browser does not allow users to clear their browsing history, which could be a privacy concern for some users
Bookmark Management: The browser also has limitations in managing bookmarks, as it is not possible to delete or organize them
User Experience
Interface: The browser features a unique layout with a black tab bar on the left-hand side, which includes quick links to popular sites like WhatsApp Web, Instagram, and Spotify
Development Stage: Zen Browser is still in development, and users have reported various bugs and areas for improvement, including better branding for the installer and more flexible tab management
Conclusion
While Zen Browser offers promising security and privacy features, its current limitations in history and bookmark management, along with its ongoing development status, suggest that it may not yet be fully secure or user-friendly for all users. Users should weigh these factors when considering Zen Browser for their primary browsing needs.

Re: Fossapup User Contributed Packages
Zen browser as shown in the screenshot is at 'Alpha' build status.
@Chelsea80
Zen is based on Firefox 128.0.3 not Chrome.

Where are you getting your information from? ............ looks like your AI or Search Engine is broken
You are using a 32bit OS ................. surely you know that you can not run a 64bit application natively?
Re: Fossapup User Contributed Packages
@Jasper and to All
My apologies for posting disinformation.
I should have been more diligent in my information gathering.
No excuse from me for relying solely on a single source.
This has taught me a lesson in the validity of AI
So with that being said, I still think a little more info would be helpful.
Thanks

Well perhaps not the pro and cons but the info given.
Not being as skilled and experienced as other Members on this Forum I would find some info on packages offered a benefit.
As to your comment:

Yes I do.
Just because my signature shows only 32bit OS's does not mean I do not have or use a 64bit OS as well.

Re: Fossapup User Contributed Packages
Hi
@Jasper, it would be helpful to share MD5 for updated browsers.
