@rockedge, @mikewalsh, @bigpup and moderators of the PLDF, I think AI discussions need a subforum area.
AI is not going away, and it needs localizing pertinent to important discussions, to be helpful to the many who dont understand it and want to. This all to be taken in the context of its uses that users might want when running a forum distro of ANY kind.
The notions of LLM(s), algorithms, logics, and related tool needs and uses can be misleading and distractive to the developers-authors when buried within a distro's discussion.
In other words, AI has a broader scope than just this distro's subforum.
Thoughts!
Why clarity? There's innumerable discussion forums on the web if someone is interested in AI. We
have enough going on here with just the regular stuff. There is no magic in AI, it is only as "intelligent"
as the information it has been trained on.

@Clarity, this is not an AI discussion or demo.
It is an app that I packaged (link to pet attached) that will
help Puppy users utilize AI safely, privately, and conveniently.
I have to agree with @Wiz57 on this one.
And I'll say again what I've already said on this subject; it's my honest opinion that AI is a "fad".....like so many other 'trends'. There's nowt special about it. It's created a buzz-word for all the tech-junkies out there to wet themselves over; I'll give it a decade, at most, and everyone will have forgotten about it in preference for the Next Big Thing to come along. Microsoft won't be able to divest themselves of Copilot fast enough..!
Personally, I fail to see why everybody's getting so unbelievably 'excited' about it. And I doubt anyone will convince me otherwise. I consider myself to be fairly tech-savvy.....but this one just leaves me cold.
Mike.
AI is only relevant to people to remain productive and competitive (*"employed").
People who have the luxury of not being in the situation should not apply.

From the points I alluded to, and the following responses, I think the moderators can see if the timing is right to have a discussion amonst themselves of steps, if any, should-not/could be taken ... particularly since, for example, the current talk is all under the "Bookwork Pup" sub-forum.
AI concerns all of the forum distros going into the future. Maybe a common place for contributions and usage discussions is a good suit.
@sonny I think you misunderstood my appeal. Has nothing to do with objecting to anything you are doing in your messaging. Hope you are capable of seeing that.
Frankly, messaging (and contributions) you are offering is both timely and reasonable.
