@Chelsea80 :-
Umm.....you've caught me there. You're getting no response at all? Can't be YAD that's the problem, because the GUI has appeared...
I'd advise re-downloading it, because it's undergone a few alterations this evening, but as to why you're not getting anything happening beats me. Could just be a "duff" download, I suppose.
You're not even seeing the About/Credits screen?
Mike.
@mikewalsh
Thanks for the reply.
No
No
Will do and will let you know.
Thanks again.
Edit:
Downloaded again - same result
Downloaded both times from here : viewtopic.php?p=126918#p126918 Page 2 - Second post down, if this helps.
Is it a false .gz that I have to remove ?

@Chelsea80
It is working for me in BookwormPup64 10.0.7
I just downloaded it.
UN-compressed using pExtract program.
Opened the VideoTrimmer_noarch-portable directory to show contents.
Clicked on LAUNCH file to run the program.
The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected
@bigpup
Thanks for your response.
I now have it working OK
When I clicked on the download it defaulted to XArchive 0.2.8-6 then I clicked Select All - Extract, which resulted in my OP.
I then used UExtract v3.32 and success, the buttons responded. So now I am up and running.
@mikewalsh
You can take your question mark hat off now and relax
Thanks again for this portable.
I will mark this as SOLVED.

Ah, good, good. Glad to hear it's working now.
Sorry about any "kerfuffle", but despite the small size I had in fact zipped this one. IF anything I publish just has a 'false' suffix on the end, I will always make this clear.
There's not much to it; it's basically just a bunch of scripts and a handful of icons. And one PNG image..... And I deliberately didn't try to make it multi-functional; like greengeek's example that inspired me, it's designed to do just ONE thing.....and do it as well as possible.
I just found Ian's method with duration and everything in seconds a wee bit fiddly, though for the very short videos he wants it for, it actually makes sense. Me, I wanted to cut rather larger chunks out of much bigger videos, so to my mind, start AND stop times were more convenient. When you're getting up to hours, translating all that into seconds becomes rather time-consuming...
If it's useful for you, then that's great.
(I haven't used XArchive for simply ages; ever since I found JakeSFR's UExtract, it's been my go-to archive extracter for everything. Because it just 'works'!)
Mike.
