Problem compiling glibc-2.40

I was able to compile glibc 2.40, but it resulted in KP.
Could someone or two help connect the dots correctly?

glibc is a core library that every application in the system uses. If you change the glibc version in a system there is a good chance many of the system programs may lose some functionality, do something unexpected or break.

If you need a different glibc version you should do a system upgrade to an operating system that supports the glibc version you wish to change to.
