if i am flashing Puppy iso via Balena Etcher to sd card reader it seen at my old pc with legacy bios,
but if i am flashing Easyos img via Balena Etcher to sd card reader it NOT seen at my old pc with legacy bios,
may be EasyOs img not compatible with legacy bios?

I'm not sure that I understand.

When you press the F12 key at poweron, that brings up the selection for booting, correct?
And you don't see your sd card listed?

If that is the case, it has nothing to do with EasyOS.
It is your PC BIOS that is unable to see the sd card reader.

Try a usb flash drive.

Sometimes a warm reboot is required.
When the F12 menu is displayed, try ctrl-alt-del for a warm reboot, that is, reboot without turning off the power. Press F12 again.

Are you saying that you boot with F12 at power-on, with Puppy installed in the sd card, and the BIOS is able to see the sd card?

Hello. Thanks for reply and attention.
I am bit testing.
I try describe what i am investigate.

All test i did using balenaEtcher.

Issue only at combination old PC + sd reader + EasyOS img = sd reader not shown at f12 boot menu

I have 3 PCs:

1. old desktop 2007y which have issue with EasyOs
2. laptop 2011y Acer no any issues with sd reader + EasyOS img
3. modern desktop 2020y no any issues with sd reader + EasyOS img

BUT!
old PC + sd reader + Puppy iso = sd reader NO issues, it shown at f12 boot menu

How you think where is can be problem here? I guess its legacy bios? But why no problem with Puppy?

Hello @deepforest

Is this a usb sd reader? Are you plugging it in usb port in front of your pc case? Can you try plugging it in the back?

I also have an old pc and for some.odd reason, when i want to boot the pc from a usb flash drive, it will not detect flash drive when plugged in in front usb ports but gets detected when plugged in to usb ports at the back.

USB sd cardreaders are problematic especially with older machines
maybe a built in one can be added if a desktop
are all systems and OS's working when booting directly from a USB thumb drive?
better quality thumb drives are also recommened when the OS is used frequently
EasyOs also supports frugal installs to a folder on an existing ext2,3,4 partition if you want to install to the internal disk without loosing the existing filesystem (dual boot)

Ok let me understand what I think is happening here

Easyos is Puppy itself, but the difference is how it is packaged

The "normal" is that they are in ISO format and this is like IMG (Easyos)

I do not use Ventoy (still) but the little that I read is directly starting the ISO file without further installation inside the hard drive or USB (it is not necessary to decompress) ...

Of Belena or Etcher I owe you the info

Maybe there is the problem ...

PC's are so capricious that it is no longer known without they are machines or humans, just a thought from experience ...

Pentium (R) 2.20GHz I RAM: 8.0 GB I F96-CE_5 I Kernel 6.6.8-64oz-ao I Glibc: 2.31 I 1600x900 Px

i am understand problem only with combination oldpc+sd reader, on newer pcs no problems
but why exactly problem at this combination?
and why when i use dd sd reader not shown at f12 menu but balena etcher working good here?
